Policies regarding the deployment, replacement, and return of SafeSequence POV recording hardware.
SafeSequence operates on a Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) model. The Point-of-View (POV) camera glasses provided to you remain the exclusive property of SafeSequence at all times. The hardware is leased to you solely for the purpose of capturing telemetry data to process through the SafeSequence platform.
SafeSequence warrants that the provided hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal industrial use. If a unit experiences mechanical or electronic failure (e.g., battery degradation, failure to record, USB connection failure), SafeSequence will replace the unit free of charge within 3 business days of receiving the defective item.
Because the hardware is deployed in active industrial environments, we understand that accidents happen. However, standard warranty coverage does not apply to:
In the event of severe physical damage, loss, or theft, the Client will be responsible for a standard hardware replacement fee of £149.00 (excluding VAT) per unit to cover the manufacturing and provisioning costs of the new device.
Clients are strictly prohibited from attempting to reverse engineer, physically open, modify, or flash custom firmware onto the SafeSequence hardware. Any evidence of tampering will immediately void the standard warranty and incur the hardware replacement fee.
Upon cancellation or termination of your SafeSequence subscription, the Client is required to return all issued hardware to our logistics facility within 14 days using the provided prepaid shipping labels. Failure to return the hardware within this timeframe will result in a final billing charge equal to the hardware replacement fee for each unreturned unit.
